Benefits of Load Limiter

  • To control load during load shedding or load reduction instead of being switched off completely.

  • It can be used to protect the Transformer or Minisub, to make sure that the Transformer or Mini-substation doesn’t overload by making sure that it trips before it is overloaded.

  • It can also be used to disconnect or reconnect Large Power Users LPU) remotely if the customer is not paying his electricity account or bill.

  • The bulk customer meter can be read remotely and be billed without sending a person to read the meter.

  • The LPU customer can be switched from postpaid to prepaid or vice versa.

  • The meter has the ability of showing currency and Kilowatt-hour.

  • Time of Use Tariff can be implemented very easily on both Postpaid and Prepaid customers.
